BROTHERLY LOVE
17 ¼ x 10 ⅜ inches
(Grandma Lydia’s twin nephews)
Much has been written about siblings and the long-lasting effects of birth order. In this painting, Grandma Lydia’s nephews display innocent affection; an example of siblings’ sharing, caring warmth.
Because my older sister and I were just twenty months apart, our close birth order often became a challenge. Sibling difficulties helped me develop an important personality trait of expressing love and warmth with the innocence of a child just as these brothers are doing—showing genuine love for each other.
When family greets or parts, warm hugs are simply natural.
