104 — DARK DOOR

DARK DOOR

10 ¾ x 7 ½ inches

(Back door of fraternity house)

Soon after college graduation, I was led through this door into a dark room where I heard low, murmuring

voices. Sensing danger, I pleaded to leave. This dark door incident foreshadowed lessons I would learn

about naiveté and misguided trust.

Being aware of another’s intentions is something one learns by being in touch with their intuition. When

red flags appear, we need to listen to our inner voice. Wisdom includes an ability to recognize dark doors.

We need to know ourselves well. When uncomfortable with circumstances, we need to heed our inner

warnings, put fear aside and speak up. If we are not being respected, we need to move on.
